Ideally, your fridge. Our chocolates will keep for 2 weeks at room temperature, or 2 months in the fridge. When you're ready to eat them, take them out and let them come to room temperature. Some also prefer to eat them a little cold, right out of the fridge! If you're worried about fridge smells, pop your box into a Ziploc bag.

Our bonbons have a shelf life of approximately 3 to 4 weeks when stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For the best experience, we recommend enjoying them within 2 weeks of purchase. For longer storage, pop them in a ziploc bag and keep them in the fridge (up to 2 months) or freezer (up to 6 months).

Bars and other chocolate products are shelf-stable for up to 8 months.

Our vegan bar options include: House Dark, Americano, Salted Caramel. Our nut-free bar options include: House Dark, House Milk, Americano, Cappuccino, Birthday Cake, Tea & Biscuits, Cookies & Cream, Ginger Fireball, Salted Caramel, Sourdough Toast, and Creme Brûlée.

While we take great care to avoid cross-contamination between flavours, we make all our products in a facility that processes nuts, gluten, dairy and eggs.

• Toronto local courier: Free over $100, otherwise $15 flat rate

• Canada-wide shipping: Free over $200. Available through our website (rates vary by destination)

• Same-day delivery: Available on a case-by-case basis if you order early in the day. Email us at hello@chocolatdekat.com and we can let you know if it's possible!

• Uber Eats: Available for select items from our Campbell Ave location. Assorted boxes only -- custom bonbon selection is not possible via Uber. If you want a same-day custom box, see "Same-day delivery" above.

You can also pick up for free at our Campbell Ave location. Please note that we do not ship during the summer months (June - September) when all long distance shipping is turned off.

Yes, we do! We only ship orders out Monday through Wednesday to prevent your package from sitting in the postal system. Once shipped, orders will typically arrive within 4-5 business days.

US customs have become very strict since 2025, so clearing customs can sometimes take an additional 1-2 days. For example, if you place an order on Thursday, it will be shipped out on Monday, and arrive by Thursday or Friday.

Please note that we don't ship from June through September, as our chocolate is vulnerable to melting in the heat. If you would like to place a special order for summer shipping and are willing to pay for the additional insulated packaging, please contact us directly at hello@chocolatdekat.com.
