Online orders are typically packed & ready to be shipped within 24 hours. After that, it depends on your location and the delivery option you selected. If you absolutely need your chocolates same-day, we have a retail location at 824 St. Clair Ave W open from 8am-5pm every day.

Local Delivery / Courier (GTA & surrounding area): next business day.

Within Ontario: we only ship out Mon-Weds to avoid your package sitting in the postal system. Once shipped, packages typically arrive within 2 business days. Eg. If you place an order on Thurs, it will be shipped out on Mon, and arrive by Weds.

US customs have become very strict since COVID; clearing customs can sometimes take a day or two. Eg. If you place an order on Thurs, it will be shipped out on Mon, and arrive by Thurs or Fri.

We choose to optimize for speed and proper handling. Since we’re dealing with a delicate product, getting your chocolate to you undamaged and in a timely fashion is our top priority. We know that the first moment when you open your box of chocolates is everything, and if they show up as a melted pile of goo the experience is ruined. That’s why we offer a delivery guarantee: if your product arrives damaged, we will ship you a replacement at no extra cost.

Ideally, your fridge. Our bon bons will keep for 2 weeks at room temperature, or 2 months in the fridge. When you’re ready to eat them, take them out and let them come to room temperature (the intended experience). Some (like my husband) also prefer to eat them a little cold, right out of the fridge! If you're worried about fridge smells, pop your box into a ziploc bag.

All properly tempered chocolate is shiny! However, we take extra care to hand polish each cavity of each mould between each batch we make to ensure our bon bons are shiny as can be.

Tempering chocolate is a multi-step process that involves heating, cooling, and then re-heating chocolate to control the way its cocoa butter crystals set up. Proper tempering ensures chocolate maintains its glossy sheen, and prevents a white veil from developing on the surface, which is called bloom.

You know how butter changes colour and consistency once you've taken it from the fridge and let it come to room temperature? Thanks to its cocoa butter content, chocolate behaves in a similar way.

Because we always encouter chocolate in its tempered, "finished" state, most people are surprised to learn that every piece of consumer chocolate out there has been tempered in order to be sold and enjoyed.

We use coloured cocoa butter to create the fun patterns on our bon bons. We employ a variety of tools like spronges, paint brushes and an air brush gun, depending on what effect we'd like to achieve. This results in a whisper thin layer of cocoa butter on the outside of each bon bon. Don't worry, it's so thin that it never affects the flavour within!

Yes we do! Raspberry Dark, Limoncello Olive Oil, Dark Mimosa, Blood Orange Moon, and Guava Ginger are all vegan. Because our flavours rotate seasonally, we may not have them all in stock at one time.

We're not a bean-to-bar company so we don't source raw cacao and process it into chocolate.

As chocolatiers, we focus on confections--we buy the highest quality chocolate from Valrhonaand Cacao Barry, before tempering and molding it into our own creations.

Our bon bons are vulnerable to melting in the heat. Insulated packaging with ice packs are an option, but they’re cost-prohibitive unless you’re placing a larger order. Getting your chocolate to you undamaged and in a timely fashion is our top priority. We know that the first moment when you open your box of chocolates is everything, and if they show up as a melted pile of goo the experience is ruined. If you would like to place a special order for summer shipping and are willing to pay for the additional insulated packaging, please contact us directly.

As a rule, the more lead time the better! We can handle up to 100 boxes of any size (4, 9, or 25) with about 3 business days notice.
